The Master of Life Sciences at Universiti Selangor is a full-research programme supporting Malaysia’s Twelfth Plan to develop skilled talent and foster innovation. Accredited by MQA and recognized by JPA, it prepares students for careers in academia, industry, and research. Full-time students complete the programme in 2 to 3 years, while part-time students complete it in 4 to 5 years. The program emphasizes advanced research skills in specialized areas, including environmental health, molecular biomedicine, clinical biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, and medical biotechnology, contributing to Malaysia’s knowledge-based economy and life sciences breakthroughs.
i. A bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate;
or
ii. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields, or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 may be accepted, subject to rigorous internal assessment;
or
iii. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 may be accepted, subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the field and rigorous internal assessment;
iv. Candidates without qualifications in related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA as stated in (i) to (iii).
