i. A bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or ii. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields, or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 may be accepted, subject to rigorous internal assessment; or iii. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 may be accepted, subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the field and rigorous internal assessment; iv. Candidates without qualifications in related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA as stated in (i) to (iii).

Upon successful completion of the program, students should be able to:

• Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, able to apply design and architecture to Information Technology solutions using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of core IT concepts, including programming, networking, and information security
• Demonstrate the ability to apply technical skills in real-world scenarios through hands-on projects and industrial training.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in teams, collaborating with designers, developers, and other professionals to complete projects efficiently and creatively.

Academia:

• Lecturer/Professor in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology
• Academic Researcher in Health Sciences, Molecular Biomedicine, or Environmental Health
• Research Fellow in university-based research labs
• Curriculum Developer for life sciences or health-related programs
• Postdoctoral Researcher in specialized fields like Immunology or Microbiology

Industry:

• Biotech Research Scientist focusing on product development and innovation
• Clinical Biochemist in hospitals or private laboratories
• Pharmaceutical/Medical Biotechnology Specialist in drug or vaccine development
• Environmental Consultant specializing in health and environmental regulations
