Programme Description
The Diploma in Nursing at Universiti Selangor is a comprehensive program designed to equip aspiring healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and compassion necessary to excel in the nursing field. This program is committed to producing highly qualified nursing practitioners capable of addressing the diverse needs of individuals and communities in Malaysia and beyond. The curriculum is meticulously designed to meet the professional and academic requirements of future nurses, emphasizing evidence-based practices, patient-centered care, and practical clinical experiences.
A Diploma in Nursing program equips students with foundational knowledge and practical skills to become competent nurses. Spanning three (3) years, it combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience in subjects like anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and nursing ethics.
Clinical training includes supervised rotations in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, enhancing technical abilities and communication skills. The program also covers nursing leadership and management, preparing graduates for roles in healthcare administration. Graduates are eligible for the licensure exam to become Registered Nurses (RNs).
