DIPLOMA IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Programme Description
The Diploma in Civil Engineering is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the growing and in-demand field of civil engineering. Recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), this three-year program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills in diverse areas, including fluid mechanics, structural analysis, soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering.
The curriculum emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and practical application, preparing students to meet the demands of the industry. The curriculum includes reinforced concrete and steelwork design, construction technologies and environmental engineering, equipping them to tackle contemporary challenges in infrastructure and sustainability. Students also gain hands-on experience through laboratory work, field surveying, and industrial internships, bridging the gap between academic concepts and professional practice.
Graduates of this program are well-prepared and competent for diverse careers in construction, infrastructure development, and environmental engineering or to further their studies in civil engineering. With a focus on producing qualified professionals with industry-relevant experience, the program ensures students are ready to meet current and future demands in the field.
