PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) is a comprehensive program designed to equip aspiring educators with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to excel in English language teaching. This program is committed to producing highly qualified English language teachers who can effectively cater to the diverse needs of learners in Malaysian secondary schools and beyond. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Our program is accessible to a wide range of applicants, with various pathways for admission:

  • A Pass in STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GP 00) in any two (2) subjects; OR
  • A Pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid; OR
  • A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 00 out of 4.00; OR
  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in any field with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4:00; OR v. A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)

/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval*. Attendance in bridging courses is requireed; OR

  • A Pass in UEC with a minimum of Grade B in five (5) subjects including English Language; OR
  • An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 00 out of 4:00; OR
  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements.
  • Additional requirement: MUET Band 4 or its

  • Local tuition fee: RM27, 110
  • International tuition fee: RM52,855
