A PROUD MOMENT FOR UNISEL AT ICDTAIM 2025 IN MUSCAT, OMAN
Today marks a significant achievement for Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) as we proudly organize the International Conference on Digital Transformation and AI-Driven Innovation Management (ICDTAIM 2025), in collaboration with the Arab Open University, Oman, and hosted by the Arab Open University in Muscat.

We were especially honored to have the support of Dr. Maryam bint Bilarab Al Nabhania, General Director of Private Universities and Colleges at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, as our esteemed Guest of Honor. Her presence added great significance to this global event and strengthened the academic ties between Oman and Malaysia.
It is an immense honor that The Honourable Senator Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Redzuan Othman, our esteemed President and Vice Chancellor of Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), was granted the privilege to deliver the keynote address at the opening of ICDTAIM 2025. He shared the vision of Malaysia, particularly the aspirations outlined by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, focusing on the country’s commitment to embracing digital transformation and the strategic use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive national progress. Along with this, he highlighted the vision for Selangor and UNISEL, emphasizing how digital innovation can empower communities and enhance economic development.

In his address, Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Redzuan Othman also discussed the importance of aligning AI with human values and Islamic principles, stressing that ethical considerations must guide AI development for the benefit of humanity. This unique perspective set the stage for the important discussions that followed, particularly those led by Dr. Salim Al Shuaili, Director of AI and Advanced Technology Projects at the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT), Oman. His keynote address on AI’s role in governance and development enriched the conference’s focus on the future of AI in both governance and society.

Special recognition is due to the Faculty of Communication, Visual Arts, and Computing (FCVAC) for their exceptional leadership in organizing this prestigious conference.

The first day of ICDTAIM 2025 featured engaging sessions, including a forum on AI’s role in IT Governance and Risk Management, alongside dynamic parallel presentations, all of which underscored the wealth of ideas, research, and collaboration that define this global event.

UNISEL takes immense pride in its participation on the global stage today. This achievement reflects our dedication to knowledge-sharing, innovation, and international collaboration.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Arab Open University for their partnership and hosting this event, and congratulations to the entire organizing team for ensuring the success of the first day of the conference.

The journey of digital transformation and innovation is just beginning.
