1. When was UNISEL established?
Answer :
Established in 1999, Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) is the first state university in Malaysia. UNISEL is fully owned by the state government of Selangor. It exudes dynamism, fuelled by vibrant students and dedicated lecturers. Formerly known for its industrial-based curricula and extra-curricular activities, UNISEL is conveniently situated in the premier state of Selangor that boasts the highest concentration of industries, major air and sea ports and is at the heart of the nation’s entrepreneurial activities.

UNISEL is an acronym for Universiti Selangor.

3. Where is UNISEL located?
Answer :
The main campus of UNISEL is located between Kuala Lumpur which is the capital city of Malaysia and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). It is approximately 25km south of Kuala Lumpur and 45km from KLIA. UNISEL have a branch city campus in Shah Alam.

Answer :
Yes, UNISEL has campus based hostels in the Bestari jaya and Shah Alam campuses.

6. What facilities are provided in UNISEL?
Answer :
Various facilities are available for the comfort of the students and staff such as an ICT Centre, library, halls, cafeterias, security services, mosque, in-campus transportation, sports & recreational centre, medical clinics, accommodation, banking & postal services.

9. What is the concept of a Research Cluster?
Answer :
The Research Cluster concept in UNISEL is in line with the current need for multi-disciplinary approaches in solving research problems. UNISEL has established six Research Clusters which are biotechnology, biomedical and health sciences, engineering, information technology business, and social sciences.
